Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy: Bridging Medical and Psychotherapeutic Care
Target Audience: RNs, NPs, CRNAs, PMHNPs, LPNs, PAs, MDs/DOs
Course Length: 3-hour CEU
Fee: $99 for CEU participants | $75 for attendees not seeking CEUs
This 3-hour continuing education course is designed for clinicians in medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health settings who want to better understand the different types of ketamine treatment and how they may support patient care.
The course will provide an overview of various models of ketamine therapy, including how these approaches differ clinically, medically, and therapeutically. Participants will explore how ketamine treatment may fit into a broader treatment plan for patients struggling with a range of mental health diagnoses.
This course will also highlight the importance of collaboration between medical providers and psychotherapists. Participants will learn how preparation, integration, therapeutic support, and ongoing communication can help patients move beyond symptom reduction toward deeper emotional processing, insight, and lasting change.
Rather than presenting ketamine as a stand-alone intervention, this course frames ketamine treatment as part of a larger continuum of care. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to evaluate treatment options, communicate with patients about ketamine therapy, and consider when referral or collaboration may be clinically appropriate.
