Move From Learning About KAP
to Actually Offering It

There is a difference between understanding Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) conceptually and knowing how to actually incorporate it into your clinical practice. This condensed 7-hour live virtual training, offering 6 CE credits, is designed to bridge that gap. We’ll get into the practical, clinical, ethical, legal, and administrative nuts and bolts of providing KAP within a solo or group psychotherapy practice.

We’ll walk you through the process step by step—from evaluating client candidacy and understanding clinical and medical contraindications. We’ll cover essential forms and documentation (provided as part of the training), dosing considerations, preparation, medicine sessions, integration, ongoing treatment planning, marketing, practice implementation, and  legal counsel and support.

The goal is to move beyond theory and help clinicians understand what it actually takes to responsibly and practically incorporate KAP into an existing psychotherapy practice. This is a content-dense, primarily didactic training designed to maximize practical learning, with opportunities for Q&A throughout.

How to Grow your Practice

THE CURRICULUM

What You'll Learn

Ten focused modules covering the practical work of KAP — from prescriber collaboration to marketing your practice.

Evaluating Clients for KAP

Evaluating clients for KAP, including clinical candidacy, identifying clients who may not be appropriate candidates, and understanding the therapist's role in pre-medical screening.

Meaningful Informed Consent

Establishing meaningful informed consent using KAP consent forms developed by the Ko-Op's legal team (Plant Medicine Law Group). All forms will be provided so you have practical documentation designed to protect both you and your clients in your practice.

Dosing Protocols & Treatment Models

Understanding common dosing protocols and treatment models and what psychotherapists need to know when collaborating with medical providers.

Marketing & Practice Growth Support

One of the leading marketing teams in the psychedelic therapy space will join the training to provide practical insight into how to effectively market and grow your KAP practice—including positioning your services, reaching the right clients and referral sources, and building a sustainable strategy for practice growth.

Legal Counsel & Risk Management

An attorney in the psychedelic space will join the training to provide an overview of the legal considerations and responsibilities involved in providing KAP. This will include staying within your professional scope of practice, understanding role boundaries between therapist and medical provider, identifying areas of potential legal and ethical risk, and knowing what clinicians should be aware of when incorporating KAP into their practice.

Concrete, practical, detailed nuts & bolts. The goal is to help you understand not just the
individual pieces of KAP, but how those pieces fit together in actual clinical practice.

Who Is This Training For?

This Bootcamp is designed for psychotherapists and mental health clinicians who want practical KAP training beyond an introductory overview.

Already working with KAP but wondering, "Am I doing this right?"

Gain greater clarity around the clinical materials you’re using, how you structure your KAP work, legal and ethical questions, and how to effectively market and grow your practice.

It may be a good fit if you:

  • Are considering adding KAP to your solo or group practice
  • Have completed introductory KAP education but still have practical questions
  • Are already working with KAP and want greater clarity around preparation, medicine sessions, integration, and treatment structure
